The course is open to all dermatologists wishing to acquire a basic knowledge of photodermatology, including of phototherapy. All essential aspects of the subject will be discussed.
This course will be held in Italy in 2017, organised by Prof. Piergiacomo Calzavara-Pinton.

The second European course in Photodermatology was held on the 16th and 17th May 2014. It was a joint ESPD and National Photobiology Unit Beaumont & Mater Hospitals training course. The course was opened to all dermatologists wishing to acquire a basic knowledge of photodermatology, including of phototherapy. All essential aspects of the subject was discussed, with sessions on basic photobiology and photophysics, normal human skin responses to ultraviolet irradiation, photocarcinogenesis , the photodermatoses and their investigation, sunbed effects, vitamin D matters, photoprotection and phototherapy. A clinical session demonstrating photodermatology patients and a visit to photodermatology investigation unit was also included.
